This year, June Gloom started a bit early. In years past mid-to late-May has been a time to see the tail end of the birding busy before they migrate north… Usually, by late May, we spend a lot of time looking for shore birds at Bolsa Chica, Malibu Lagoon, and the Ventura Settling Ponds. We also spend a lot of time at Birding at Bonelli Park.
Maybe that is why we kept missing the glorious roses at the Huntington Garden. I had never experienced the rose garden in full bloom before and it was a perfumed paradise! I am not a huge fan of the Huntington, though have been a member for many years. This weekend, the roses bowled me over.
The tea room in the Huntington Gardens received an $11 million makeover. Fountain
